Amanda Brugel

(February 27th, 2010 (February 27, 2010 Toronto ON) Pointe Claire is a sleepy community on the part of Montreal that is known as"the West Island. A lot of people who aren't aware of they mistakenly believe"the" West Island extends westward from Montreal. Actually the West Island includes everything westward of Lachine. Lachine. Amanda Brugel is said to have been born on West Island, although this isn't the case. Brugel lived in Courtice close to Oshawa Ontario. She was determined to become a professional dancer, but due to her rapid development spurt, she exceeded the size of her dancing partners. According to an article in the Toronto Star, she revealed that she was six feet and one inch tall. When I grew out of male companions, I stopped. Dancers who have been in the past often switch to acting, and Brugel was no exception. An instructor in drama at her high school encouraged to Brugel into the direction she wanted to go in. The teacher was the one who advised her to audition for the role of Anne in the school's annual production. After some trial and error it, she was cast as the lead actress in Anne of Green Gables. This resulted in being awarded a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship at York University where she attended the Theater Program and graduated with a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree in 2000. Over the past 20 years her career has seen her appearing in a variety of TV and film productions. Her most famous role was as Rita (shown beneath) on The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the sole Canadian actor in Season 1 of the series, and not seen much.
